Above, at Ruislip in 2009, when original Beach Boy David Marks turned up and played with them.

The Beached Boys are far from a simple tribute outfit but is a collection of the country's finest vocalists who have made successful careers both individually and as a group adding backing vocals to such artists as Elton John, Sheena Easton, Take That etc. etc.

Finding that the post gig harmony sing-a-longs in the bar rooms of the international hotels that they were in as part of the mega star entourage were often more fun than that evening's concert performance, the boys decided to form a harmony fun band "Endless Summer" that evolved into the Beached Boys in 1999.

Since the Beached Boys formation they have been playing the Beach Boys hits to great success all over the world when not tied up with backing vocal duties.

Two recent quirky experiences highlight the band's focus on fun on stage and off, when they were asked by guitar great Jeff Beck to apply their Beach Boyesque vocals to the recording of his composition "Hot Rod Honeymoon" which is now on release on his album "Jeff", and it seems that the band that sings together and quizzes together had a ball when they recently appeared on BBC2's yet to be transmitted Eggheads, and modesty and the BBC prevents them from revealing the result!!!

And you too can have a fun time at their upcoming Tropic appearance where you will be guaranteed to hear all the Beach Boys and Brian Wilson hits you can remember and some great ones you had forgotten.

Quote from Kingsley Abbott - Record Collector. August 2009  No 365.

"Here in the UK, after many years of Gidea Park being the mainstay, there are now many Beach Boy styled bands on the circuit, with the Beached Boys currently being considered the best".
